![]() ![]() Hope this helps and I'm sorry for responding so late.Combat Mission is one of the more challenging simulation wargame series out there and the most recent Cold War installment, Combat Mission: Cold War, continues that trend. This solution worked out for me, it seems mainly to be that some AVs block HoMMV from configuring it's own files mainly in the My Documents folder. Otherwise it might be helpful to check for the HoMMV files being read only or something. Then running the game again, start a new game just to be sure. So in your case the only thing I can think of trying to turn off your AV and firewall entirely and perhaps trying to run the game in administrator mode. Either way, I restarted the game after doing this and it works just as HoF did! The first one has never asked for access, so it might be an incorrectly added exception automatically detected when I first ran the game. The reason I am not sure that there's supposed to be four is because Tribes of the East has two as you can see. If you play all of them there will be four separate instances of them I believe, or at least three. Next I go into the Safe Files, also in the Protection tab and make sure that all kinds of HoMMV are there. folder was added as an exception in the Protection tab of BitDefender, that's Protection, Antivirus => Settings. ![]() Same symptoms, disabled zoom, camera controls busted (except for panning with the mouse).įirst off I decided to make sure that my entire Good Old Games. I recently had to get it working again because I wanted to play Tribes of the East again. Either way it'd be more helpful to post my solution here to help others. No worries! I'm sorry I had my setting private, I didn't realize that it was set up that way by default. Then I installed Avast Antivirus instead, same problem, it also doesn't matter, if I create exceptions for GOG Galaxy and HOMM 5 or not. I had Windows Defender first, problems persisted even when I turned it off and/or added exceptions for GOG Galaxy and HOMM 5. So, how'd you do it? I'm having exactly the same problems. ![]() Patthefatrat: Sorry to necro this, but I can't contact DaReaperZ due to privacy settings. ![]()
